Hello everyone! Yes the Dettwilers are still alive and kicking!!!!! We are really sorry for the lack of blog posts. We have been discovering and doing so many things, it's fustrating not to be able to share it all with you here. I'll get my act together next time and prepare some posts for you.
At the moment I'm personally starting to feel a little sad at the thought of leaving this beautiful place especially as I know winter waits for us in France! I keep wanting to push the departure date further and further on. But there are so many factors on hand to take into consideration.
Number one is the kids schooling. If we go back in January, as planned, the kids still have a chance of continuing their school year without having to repeat. John is seriously considering staying here in Australia with friends, who have kindly offered to take him on during his final High school year before starting studies at the Australian Maritime Institute in Tasmania.( He will shortly be visiting the University just waiting for an interview, and then, will make up his mind)

Personally this is all quite stressful for me. My nest is getting empty too quickly..............Help!
Zach has already left and is enjoying his new life in Durham England , John wants to stay here and Jesse is already making plans to study in Geneva!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess this is totally normal and nobody said it was easy, right?
Secondly we would really like to visit a freind of ours in Cambodia as she works there and we'd love to see and even participate in her misssion. We would also like the kids to see how other people in the world live and to appreciate how lucky they are. We want them to have a life education and not just an academic one. Travel is ideal for that and they'll only be richer for it. Travelling with kids is wonderful, I love the way it opens their eyes and minds and that they learn so much by seeing and meeting different situations/people. Sometimes fun , sometimes tiring and hard, sometimes interesting and sometimes boring. I love being "en chemin" with them and they are really doing a great job I am really proud of the way they adapt and are growing in maturity.I know this will be a trip they will never forget.
